Finding Your Way

City Center is usually best explored on foot or by bike but you’ll want your own wheels to get around the rest of the valley. Lyfts are also always available. & there is the famous Buzz Bus, a free bus service that runs from 12pm-10pm every 20 minutes Thursday-Sunday to be able to pool party hop & never have to drive!

Airport Deets

Palm Springs International is one of the Top 10 Most Stress-Free Airports in America. There aren’t many flights though, so your best bet is to fly to LA & rent a car since you’ll need one to get around town once in the desert.

History

The Cahuilla people settled the area 2,000 years ago & lived in isolation from other cultures for hundreds of years. It would become part of the U.S. in 1848 & by the 1950’s it would be a haven for the rich & famous. Today it has found yet another identity, home to festivals & fun for all ages.

Weather

With its dry desert climate, Palm Springs is most popular from October to May when evenings get as low as 45° at night, but is in the 70-80° range during the day. The rest of the year is very hot, often reaching over 100°.

You can’t leave without a Date Shake from Hadley’s. A Brandini bar is a delicious ice cream snack for a break from the heat. And a cocktail by the pool or a locally-brewed IPA at La Quinta Brewing are musts.
